Join us for a fabulous night of fun in our “Wild About Flavor” Cooking Classes presented by The Zesty Moose. Whether you’re a beginner in the kitchen, or an advanced foodie our mission is to make your time in the kitchen both enjoyable and memorable. Expect to learn new techniques and become inspired with new recipes while you relax, meet new people and enjoy an evening out with your friends.
All of our classes are demonstration style unless noted on the description. Each class teaches tasty techniques and food preparation along with combining a variety of products together that will enhance the flavor in your everyday dishes. Enjoy a generous tasting of each dish prepared! You will leave the night with recipes so you can re-create everything again and you will receive 10% off your entire purchase on the products we used after the class.
Water will be provided. For health reasons all food samples must be consumed during the class. Staff is not authorized to package food to take home.
Class Hours Location and Cost
Classes typically run from 6-8pm on their scheduled nights and while we try our best to be on time, classes can occasionally run a little short or long. We ask that guests arrive at least 5-10 minutes early to get your seats. Classes are held after regular store hours at our Retail Marketplace 449 Colorado Avenue Historic Downtown Grand Junction. Our goal was never to get rich by offering classes but simply inspire our customers to enjoy their time in the kitchen and after hearing from a number of customers, “I love your products, but don’t really know what to do with everything.” We realized it was time to add our classes to the store. The cost of the class covers groceries purchased to make the dishes we prepare for each class. Generally classes will cost $20 to $25 per person and are taught by our in-house staff unless otherwise noted. Occasionally we will bring in a local chef or guest speaker/instructor at an additional charge.
How To Sign Up
Please call 970-270-6263 to purchase and reserve your seat(s) for the classes of your choice. Classes are small and generally fill up quickly. Classes will be added to our monthly event calendar as they become available. If you want to be kept up to date on new classes subscribe to our Newsletter. (click here to join). If you have a skill you’d like to share, know someone who would be interested in teaching, or have an idea for a class, drop us a line.
Consider our cooking classes like “events”. If you failed to show up to an event, such as a concert you cannot get a credit back from the concert venue, no matter the reason. Please think of our cooking classes the same way!
If you are unable to attend, it is best to send someone in your place. Because we purchase and prep food specifically for each class, we require full payment for all scheduled classes or privately booked classes at the time of registration.
Cancellation 72 hours or more in advance, full refund to original payment method.
Cancellation 48 – 72 hours, credit will be offered for a future class, no cash refund.
Cancellation less than 48 hours, no refund or credit will be granted.
There may be occasions in which we need to cancel a class. Guests will be called and a full refund will be granted.
Breakfast for Dinner Cooking Class
May 24 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
We’re moving rise-and-shine favorites to the evening time slot and creating skillet pan meals the whole family will enjoy! Indulge in our Breakfast For Dinner Cooking Class where we’ll be dressing up those classic favorites for prime time dinner fare and adding some tasty new twists to some sweet and savory dishes. The beauty of many breakfast dishes is how easily they adapt to a dinner setting. Every night is a good night to enjoy breakfast for dinner!
